A Note from the Pastor
Dear One Hope Church Family,
As we enter the Thanksgiving and Christmas season, my heart is filled with gratitude for each of you. This is a beautiful time of year, but it can also become incredibly busy. Between shopping, decorating, traveling, gatherings, and countless responsibilities, it is easy to lose sight of the peace and joy Jesus offers us.
Scripture reminds us:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
—Philippians 4:6 (NIV)
My prayer is that we will not simply make it through the busyness of the season, but that we will slow down enough to experience the presence and peace of Christ. May our Thanksgiving celebrations overflow with gratitude, and may our Christmas celebrations be filled with wonder as we remember God’s greatest gift—Jesus.
We have many meaningful opportunities to celebrate together throughout the holiday season. I encourage you to get involved by volunteering, attending an event, or inviting your friends, neighbors, and family members to join you. Every invitation is an opportunity to help someone experience the hope, love, and peace of Jesus. Let’s fill this season with joyful worship, generous service, meaningful relationships, and excitement about all God is doing among us!
It is hard to believe that my family and I have been here for almost eight months. We are deeply grateful for the love you have shown us and for your continued partnership in ministry. It is a privilege to serve alongside you, and we remain humbled by the opportunity God has given us to be part of the One Hope family.
I also want to express my heartfelt appreciation to our incredible staff and board members. Thank you for your faithful service, prayerful leadership, and willingness to give so much of yourselves to support the mission of our church. Your dedication often takes place behind the scenes, but it makes a lasting difference.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas, let’s make room for what matters most. May we serve joyfully, invite boldly, worship wholeheartedly, and carry the peace of Christ into our homes and community.
On behalf of my family, thank you for welcoming us, supporting us, and partnering with us. We are excited to celebrate this special season with you and look forward to all that God will continue to do through One Hope Church.
With gratitude and hope,
Pastor Lou
