Passing the Torch of Faith
“Be strong and courageous…for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” —Deuteronomy 31:6
When Moses’ time as leader ended, he passed the torch to Joshua. The message was clear: leadership changes, but God’s mission and presence remain.
Faith is meant to be shared, not kept. Just as others invested in us—parents, mentors, friends—we are called to carry the flame forward. Passing the torch doesn’t weaken our light; it multiplies it.
This week, ask: Who has God placed in my life to encourage or disciple? What small step can I take to invest in them?
The same God who went before Joshua goes before you too. Be strong. Be courageous. Carry the flame—and pass it on.
Lord, thank You for those who shared the faith with me. Show me who to encourage, and help me trust that You go before me. Amen.
