A Different Perspective

Many people tend to think about the birth of Jesus - and Christmas as a whole - from their own perspective. However, the child's perspective of the birth of Jesus may be very different from an adult or seasoned perspective.

Philippians 2:4 says "Do not merely look out for your own interests, but also for the interests of others."

In other words we should all look at each other's point of view so we can then assist one another with our faith even more. Children with less understanding of life may just see Christmas as a time to get gifts and see that one cousin they rarely ever see. Sometimes we may just need to ask ourselves, “What do they think?” or "Why do they think that?" rather than “What do I think?” It becomes a growing opportunity simply by asking someone "Why is Christmas important to you?" Because in the end, Christmas is all about celebrating the birth of Christ and bonding with loved ones for a deeper connection. So allowing ourselves to be more open minded gives us the chance to be more Christlike.
