The Echo of Encouragement
The Echo of Encouragement
There's a beautiful rhythm in the way we cheer for the people we love. I remember vividly the first time I stood up to cheer for my daughter at her band event. For five years, it was more than just applause; it became a tradition of support, a heartbeat of encouragement she could always count on. One time, in the vastness of Lucas Oil Stadium, I shouted "Let's go, Samantha!" so loudly that it echoed through the entire place. In that moment, I realized how one voice of encouragement can resonate far beyond what we expect.
After she graduated and took a step back from band, I found myself in the stands again. This time, it was my son who had taken up band, and I cheered just as passionately for him. What amazed me was seeing other parents around us start to embrace the same tradition of encouragement. That single echo of love and support had turned into a ripple effect, inspiring a community of parents to lift up their own children in the same way.
In Hebrews 10:24-25, we’re reminded to "consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds... encouraging one another." Each time we cheer, each time we show up, we create ripples of encouragement that inspire others. That echo in the stadium became a symbol of how our small acts of support can grow into a legacy of love that spans generations.
So today, let's reflect on those moments. Whether it's cheering at a band event or simply being there for a loved one, those echoes of encouragement can truly inspire a community of love.
