Do Something

The B.L.E.S.S. sermon series is all about ways to build bridges to people, all for the cause of Christ. This week we talked about serving in love. I encourage you today, see others with intention. Do you notice their hearts hurting? Do you see their energy is drained? Do you notice nothing different, but still wonder if there's struggles below the surface? Ask about it and then ask yourself, "how can I bless this person through service today?"

This week I am reminded of the song Do Something by Matthew West.

These are some of the words that come to mind:

I'm so tired of talking about how we are God's hands and feet. But it's easier to say than to be, live like angels of apathy who tell ourselves it's alright, "somebody else will do something." Well, I don't know about you, but I'm sick and tired of life with no desire. I don't want a flame, I want a fire. I wanna be the one who stands up and says "I'm gonna do something."
