A Note From Pastor Lou
Dear One Hope Church Family,
I am so excited about what God is doing in the life of our church. We recently began a new sermon series through the book of Galatians, and my prayer is that, as we walk through this letter together, we will grow in our understanding of the true freedom we have in Jesus Christ.
Galatians reminds us of this powerful truth: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free” (Galatians 5:1). That is such good news. Because of Jesus, we do not have to live bound by sin, fear, shame, or the pressure of trying to earn God’s love. In Christ, we are free to live as children of God, to receive His grace, to trust His promises, and to serve Him with joy. This freedom is not just something we talk about on Sundays. It is something God wants us to experience and live out every day.
As we look ahead, I am also thankful for several opportunities we have to grow together as a church family. We will be offering evangelism training to help us become more confident and compassionate in sharing the hope of Jesus with others. We will gather for Global Mission Night to celebrate and learn more about how God is at work around the world. We will also have training on what it means to be faithful stewards of all God has entrusted to us, including our time, gifts, resources, relationships, and opportunities.
My hope is that these moments will encourage us, strengthen our faith, and help us become better equipped to serve our community and the world. I want to invite you to prayerfully consider being part of these opportunities as we continue growing together.
I also want to ask you to continue praying for our church staff and board members. We are seeking to serve the Lord faithfully and lead with wisdom, humility, and courage. Your prayers, encouragement, patience, and partnership mean more than you know. It is a privilege to serve this church family, and we do not take that lightly.
I truly believe the greatest strength of One Hope is not a building, a program, or a plan. It is you. Thank you for the ways you serve, give, volunteer, pray, welcome others, encourage one another, and love people in the name of Jesus. Some of what you do is seen by many, and much of it is done quietly behind the scenes. But it all matters. Your faithfulness is making a difference, and I am deeply grateful for each of you.
I believe the future is full of hope because God is with us, Christ is leading us, and the Holy Spirit is empowering us. Let us keep moving forward together in faith, freedom, and love, trusting that the same God who has been faithful to us will continue to lead One Hope into all He has prepared for us.
With gratitude and hope,
Pastor Lou
